WALKATHON HISTORY
The Walkathon is a biennial fundraising and community event held by the Chinese-American Planning Council. The Walkathon Committee, made up of CPC Board of Directors and staff, come together every two years to support a cause or program that needs support, recognition and additional funding to service its members.
Walkathon 2010: Youth
Government funding has been significant cut for youth programs such as Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP), Beacon, Out of School Time (OST), Shelter Beds for At Risk, Runaway, and Homeless Youth, etc. Please visit our Youth page for more information.
Walkathon 2008: Senior Citizens
CPC raised over $127,000 to support CPC's senior citizen programs.
Walkathon 2006: Daycare
CPC raised over $100,000 to support and family services.
